- I am Tom O'Toole, an attorney from St. Louis, Missouri. My wife, Jane, is also an attorney. In September 2008, we suddenly decided to leave our jobs and move to China. We got jobs as teachers. She had been to China before on a few occasions; I had never traveled before. Along with the two of us went our three children, Dan, aged 4.5 years, Evelyn, aged 2 years, and Etain, aged 1 year.
